Well..here is the latest song that is currently at the top of my list. If you haven't ever heard this song, you need to. I would put it on here, but can't figure out how to do it. If I figure out how to do that, I'll share it with you. But this is a powerful, life changing song. Avalon did a version of it that is just unbelievable. So for now, here are the lyrics. I can't add anything to this. May it encourage and speak to your heart, as it is mine.
In Christ Alone
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light my strength my song
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled when strivings cease!
My Comforter my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone! - who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This Gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till he returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand!

I love that song. I can almost only focus on it at the end of the day or I am a wreck! What a Savior! Thanks for sharing!
While I was in the doctor's office with Isaac I kept thinking about that song...I am so thankful that you mentioned it to me this morning. I couldn't remember all of the words but somehow even the tune of it is soothing and strengthening. I think that, for me, today my favorite part is this:
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled when strivings cease!
My Comforter my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
He is Faithful! Love ya! I look forward to singing sometime!
Oooh, me too! I've had that song in my head for about 3 weeks, and I'm not tired of it yet. It's brilliant.
Hey Heather...it's funny you say that, because I've been listening to it almost the whole day over and over again...and I'm touched everytime! I have cried alot today but out of loads of gratitude to the Father. I'm still doing my study and it's rocking my world, but I'm loving it. blessings to you!
Amy...I'm just so thankful the Lord put you in my path. Thanks for sharing the love of music with me. Love you!
Hey Susan...I know what you mean. My kids may get tired of it though! Not me!!
This is one of my absolute favorites. I first learned it at a Beth Moore conference. There were about 8 of us who had traveled and were incredibly touched by the song and the whole weekend.
We had returned to our hotel rooms, and around midnight we decided to share communion together. We sat around on the floor, and barely knew the song, but the time was so meaningful and the song expressed our heart more than any of us could explain...we kept singing and singing it.
It became one of those songs that marked a journey for us. Any given Sunday that we sing that song now, I am immediately transferred in spirit to that hotel room, face to the floor, with 8 women worshiping the amazing gift of all we have in Him. It is amazing in it's truth and reality!
I love this song!
Friends...this morning in my time with the Lord, reading the lyrics to this song again, brings tears to my eyes. Words carry so much weight, add music to that, and something in me soars. Bless you all as you walk with Him today. Let these words be in your head to drown out the lies of the evil one. Let's cram enough truth in our head and heart so that there is NO ROOM for lies!
blessings...flee
hey Flee,
I'm actually commenting on your previous post about Asher. It sounds like he and Maddi have some similar traits. When she was 1 1/2 I put her down for a nap and she just cried and cried. I had just read her the nursery rhyme about old mother hubbard, went to get the poor dog a bone, ya know, so after I laid her down she kept crying and I didn't know why. I thought maybe she wasn't tired so, I gave her the book to look at and left her in bed. She kept crying really hard and I went back in, still clueless and thought she missed Paul, so we called him on the phone and he told her goodnight. I laid her back down again (still with the book) and left and she cried more and harder. When I went in yet again I found her looking at the book and she had turned to the picture of the dog and was crying saying "poor dog", "poor dog". It's amazing and scary to think the gifts that God has entrusted to us. Paul and I often wonder, where in the world did this compassion come from!! I guess he wants us to learn something from our precious kids.
I love you and was soo happy to see you. I made sure Charles regretted not being there :).
Love, Kristi
Flee Jeff and I are about to find this song on the internet. Sending some smooches. The last few weeks have been kind rough on me. Thank you for coming and finding me:)

Flee,
I cannot believe you put this song on your blog....it is my absolute favorite song!! I heard it at the Beth Moore conference I went to a few years ago and it has stuck with me since. I cannot sing it without crying...especially when I sing the 2nd verse about the fullness of God in helpless babe ....the wrath of God was satisified for every sin on Him was laid...here in the death of Christ I live!! Amen!!!! The thought of my savior coming to earth in the form of a helpless child (you know my soft spot for babies/kiddos) and having to endure a miserable life and death for me just overwhelms me! God is amazing!!!
Thanks for sharing that song as well as your faith on your blog! You're a precious friend!
